Best Seats For a Concert at Toyota Center
The most common seating layout at Toyota Center for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 101, Section 102 and Section 103. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Floor: Sections Floor A, Floor B, Floor C and Floor D are Floor Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, floor sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the floor layout and the views from each floor section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 105, Section 106 and Section 121. The view is not head-on like on the floor, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 113, Section 114, Section 417 and Section 418 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 101, Section 102, Section 103 and Section 124. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider floor seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst floor ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 109 and 118 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 408 and 428.

400 Level Side (Concert) Seating
When looking at the Toyota Center seating chart, there are two main levels of seating: the 100 level and the 400 level. A large block of premium seating is located between the lower and upper levels. This keeps seats in the 400 level closer to the floor, but also much higher up. In other words, you may feel as you're looking straight down onto the stage.
Generally speaking, we have found the views from the closest side sections - 408 and 428 - to be fairly good. Views from these sections will be slightly blocked by sound and lighting equipment, but most of the stage is visible. For a better experience without any potential obstructions, consider the front rows of 409 and 427. You'll have a clear view to the stage and will even have a view of the video screens.
One area of consideration for the side sections on the upper level is that the entrance to these seats is located at the top row. So, while row 1 seats will have the closest views, they'll also come with the longest walks up and down the (steep) stairs. If deciding between two sets of tickets that you think are fairly equal, you may want to choose the set in the higher row as they'll be more convenient.
100 Level Baseline (Basketball) Seating
Lower Level Baseline seating includes more than 40 rows of seating with the lowest rows designated by letters. The Red Rowdies, a Rockets cheering section, is located in Section 114 and is considered a paradise for true fans.
While the views from behind the basket are not ideal, sitting in these sections is one of the cheapest ways to buy tickets in the 100 level. And if in Section 101 or 113, you'll be close to the Rockets and visitor tunnel, respectively.
100 Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
Corner seats are a great way to sit on the lower level at a cheaper price point without sitting directly behind the basket.
The Woodforest Club is located near Section 111. Also near Section 111 is the Home Team locker room, which provides Rockets fans the best chance to get up close and personal with their favorite players. Located near Section 103 is the Visiting Team locker room and tunnel.
400 Level Baseline (Basketball) Seating
Most Baseline seating in the Upper Level is made up of 16 rows (exceptions in handicap accessible rows) with the first row being Row 1. Row 14 in Sections 401 and 418 are wheelchair accessible with seating available at the top of these sections.
Upper Level Baseline seats are among the furthest away from the court, but are also among the least expensive seats in Toyota Center. The front rows in these baseline sections are just above the last rows in 100 level seating and are lower to the court than the first rows in 400 level sideline seats - making them a good value for fans on a budget. Just beware that sitting in the front row does lead to long walks up and down the stairs each time you want to reach the concourse.
400 Level Center (Basketball) Seating
Center seating in the Upper Level is made up of Sections 425-428 and 408-411. The most popular sections in the 400 level are 409, 410, 426 and 427 which are closest to center court and have the best views of the enormous videoboard.
When choosing seats in these sections, pay close attention to the row you're considering. While Row A is at the front and easily has the best views of the court, it's also farthest away from concessions and restrooms. The section entrance is located at the top of each of these sections. Therefore, fans in the last row (13) will have the fewest stairs to walk and will have near-instant access to the concourse and its amenities.
400 Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
The seats in 400 Level Corner sections are among the cheapest in the stadium and can be up to 50% less expensive than 400 Level Center seating.
Generally speaking, the views from the front rows of these sections is just OK. And views from the back rows are not ideal. But when considering seats in this zone, you may want to choose one of the last rows. Your view will be slightly worse than the lower rows but you'll have fewer steps to get to and from your seats each time you get something to eat or head to the restroom.

Venue & Seating Questions
- What sections have wheelchair spaces at Toyota Center?
Wheelchair accessible seating is available on both the lower and upper seating levels at the Toyota Center. Below please find a list of the wheel accessible seating areas broken out by level at the arena:
Lower Level - Row 25 in sections 103-106, 108-111, 116-119, 121-124.
Upper Level - Row 14 in sections 401, 404, 416, and 420. Row 10 in sections 406, 413, 422, 425, 428, 431, and 432.
RateYourSeats is not a direct ticket seller, and ticket prices are set by our ticket selling partners so unfortunately we do not know of discount opportunities for disabled veterans. We do however recommend contacting the Houston Rockets Guest Services Department in this regard as they will have the best information regarding any discounts available. - What are the best seats for a concert at Toyota Center?
We recommend avoiding sections 104, 105, 122, 123, 408 and 428 for concerts. These sections are on the side of the stage or even behind.
The stage for a concert at Toyota Center is pushed back towards the end of the court, which is somewhat unusual for concerts in a basketball arena. This means that the head-on seats in the Upper Level (sections 415-421) are pretty far away. When buying in these sections, make sure you get a low row. There is a significant difference between row 1 and row 12.
Otherwise, Sections 112-115 will give you a head-on view, but you will still want to choose low rows. Comfortable seating can be found in the mid-rows of 109 and 118, while sitting in the lettered sections (A-F) will get you as close as possible, but you might have trouble seeing over people.
- How many rows in each section at Toyota Center?
Each section has a varying amount of rows and seats. Find a section to see row and/or seat numbers.
- Is seat number 1 on the left or right side of sections?
As you look towards the court from your seats, lower number seats are on your right.
- Which floor seats are behind the Rockets bench at the Toyota Center?
- Which side of the center is the visitor's locker room on?
- Where is Section 108c Row 12 Seat 5 at the Toyota Center?
- Where is the Rockets player tunnel at the Toyota Center?
- Where is the upper level smoking patio at the Toyota Center?
- Are seats 17 and 18, Section 120/Row 20, near the aisle?
- Is seat 4 near the aisle between 123? Or the aisle near 121?
- Where is the visiting team tunnel at the Toyota Center for basketball?
