Donna Fitzke Kearney resident, 71 KEARNEY Donna J. Fitzke, 71, of Kearney died Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at St. Luke's Good Samaritan Village. Donna was born on Dec.

19, 1943, in Kearney to Elmer O. and Marie H. (Craft) Fitzke. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Peoples First and The Arc of Buffalo County. She was baptized on Feb.

6, 1944, and later confirmed on May 3, 1992. Family was a very important part of Donna's life and she greatly enjoyed when they would visit. Surviving relatives include her sister, Beverly Swanson of Grand Island; brother, Ronald Fitzke and his wife, Haruko, of Colorado Springs, sister, Judy Bell of Portland, nephews and nieces, Jimmy Swanson of Grand Island, Cheri Swanson and significant other Tony Melvin of Hastings, Rick Fitzke of Highlands Ranch, Robert Bell and his wife, Rose, of Oregon and Crystal Bell- Ward and her husband, Peter, of Washington; grandnieces and grandnephews, Dusty Swanson and his wife, Kenna, of Hastings, Linzy Knuth and her husband, Matt, of Hastings, Catie Swanson and her significant other, Nathan Kosmicki, of Grand Island, Ryan Fitzke and Reagan Fitzke, both of Highlands Ranch, and Cassie Ward of Washington; and many friends and caregivers. Army. He married Jean Huryta on July 27, 1968, in Ravenna. They lived near Poole until 1970 when they moved to Rockville. They farmed east of Madison for several years until 1949 when they formed Oil which remained a business in Madison until 1994. Dorothy was the bookkeeper. She was an avid gardener, bowler and golfer and loved fishing and traveling. She enjoyed life to the fullest with her family and friends. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid and Altar Guild.

Dorothy is survived by her four children and their spouses, Norma and Don Cholcher of Arkansas, Roger and Tonya Hartner of North Carolina, Dennis and Sue Hartner of Kearney and Doug and Shelley Hartner of Randolph; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
